YEAR 2024
The beginning of 2024 was marked by the continuation of work in Bernburg, Germany. Since July, our installers had been building an extensive racking system there. The work lasted until February 29, when the project was completed and handed over to the client.

However, the first half of 2024 was affected by a downturn in the racking market, resulting in less work compared to previous years.
Our fitters therefore headed overseas to the United States – specifically to the West Coast, to California, near the city of San Jose, in a place called Morgan Hill. They worked there until mid-June.

In April and June, we also tried short-term projects in neighboring Austria. In the town of Florian am Inn, we built pallet racks and a mezzanine for the company HEAD SPORT, each time over a two-week period.
Starting at the end of May, we resumed work in the Czech Republic after a long break. The client was the most renowned Czech brewery – yes, Plzeňský Prazdroj. Together with EMA Czech, we built steel structures on the brewery premises. The project lasted until the end of August.

In July, our installation team returned to Italy. This time, the destination was southern Italy, the city of Bari. Once again, we worked for TGW. Our team of 8 installers stayed in Italy until mid-autumn. The project was handed over to a satisfied client on October 17.

From mid-August until Christmas, our fitters were busy in the third most populous city in the USA—Chicago. The second American mission also ended successfully.

Spanish company KONVEX, with whom we have a long-standing partnership, requested a team from mid-August until Christmas. We gradually built mezzanines and OSR systems in Valencia for the company SEUR, then near Toledo in the town of Illescas.
Finally, our team moved to the Spanish capital – Barcelona.

The last project of 2024 took place in the German city of Bremen. From mid-October until mid-December, we built pallet racks and a platform. The client took over the completed work on December 18, and our team headed home for a well-deserved break.

YEAR 2023
The calendar year 2023 began right at the start of January, when a large group of our installers once again traveled to Lombardy, Italy, to the city of Mantua. There, they continued work on a project that had started back in August 2022. The project was completed and handed over to the client at the end of February.
At the beginning of February, the largest and most significant project of 2023 began. It took place in Altenkunstadt, Germany, and involved the construction of a racking system for the company ABOUT YOU. This major project lasted nearly 9 months, until the end of October 2023. It was the longest project in the company’s history. The halls were handed over to the customer at the end of October.

At the end of May 2023, our teams embarked on what we called the “Spanish mission.” A major project for “EL CORTE INGLES” began in Madrid, involving 16 installers. The first phase of OSR and mezzanine construction ended in early September. After a short two-week break, the second phase continued until the end of November. Despite challenges, especially with material deliveries, our team handled the tasks very well.

In parallel with the Madrid project, a second team of 10 workers was engaged in the LOGISFASHION TOLEDO project. This started in mid-July and ended in mid-October, also involving OSR and mezzanine construction. Both Spanish projects were commissioned by Konvex, one of the giants in the racking industry, with whom we have a long-standing partnership.

At the end of July, we also began work in Bernburg, Germany, where a racking system was built for the company TGV. A team of 10 fitters worked continuously on this project, which lasted until Christmas and was expected to continue in January of the following year.
OUR TEAMS ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON TWO LARGE PROJECTS.
The first is a logistics center in Italy – Lombardy, in the city of Mantua. A large group of our fitters work here, the client is Kuehne and Nagel. We are building an OSR stuttle automatic. The event started already on August 1, 2022 and is scheduled to last until the end of February 2023.

Second project is BIDA FARMA. It’s an OSR + Catwalk + Flow rack that our team is building in San Fernando de Henares, on a suburb of Madrid, Spain. A group of experienced installers works here. The event started on September 5 and will last until the end of November. It should be followed by another short event near Madrid.

YEAR 2021
2021 was a good year for Ka&Sa Montex s.r.o. as a sign of expansion beyond the usual locations in Germany and Holland.
In January, our work team flew to Tel Aviv, Israel, to participate in the construction of the OSR shuttle automatic near the capital Tel Aviv, in the town of MODIIN. The conditions on site were certainly not easy, the situation was greatly complicated by Covid-19. Despite this worldwide pandemic, our team coped with the work with honor and the project was duly completed on our part in the first half of March. But the biggest difficulties occurred on the way back to the Czech Republic. The international airport in Tel Aviv was closed and thus the journey home. In the end, with the help of our embassy, we managed to get seats on one of the rare flights to Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and from there by car back to the Czech Republic. Despite these complications, it was a very interesting experience, both in terms of work and learning about another culture and society.

At the beginning of April 2021, our small work team went to Girona, Spain, a city of 100,000 in the autonomous community of Catalonia, near the Costa Brava coast. Here, our guys spent five weeks building a medium-sized mezzanine.

The “Greek mission” started in mid-May 2021. The project in the town of Oinófyta, approximately 50 km from the capital city of Athens, required the deployment of a medium-sized work team for a period of 12 weeks. And it’s been a really hot 12 weeks. Temperatures in the hall reached 45 degrees Celsius throughout the day. Despite this extreme heat, our team managed the job with honor and the project was duly completed and handed over to the customer.

Another project took our fitters to a completely different destination than hot Greece. It was a suburb of Bucharest, the capital of Romania. In Bácu – Joita, our medium-sized team built the OSR shuttle automatic. The situation was again complicated by Covid, but our guys did their part.

At the end of May 2021, our biggest project to date also started, both logistically and in terms of work. Our assembly team flew to South America, specifically to the capital of Peru, Lima. Here our team was building the OSR shuttle automatic. And it was a really long project, the last of our workers returned to the Czech Republic in December 2021, i.e. after half a year. Work on site was complicated by the covid situation, the heat, the necessity to work in protective masks. Despite all the difficulties, problems with the material, which were also strongly affected by Covid, occasional health failures, we managed to complete the project and hand it over to the customer at the beginning of December 2021.
